The English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) Program is an integral part of the management and delivery of an effective learning for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, learning English as an additional language at school. The EALD Program contributes to the delivery of culturally inclusive approaches by staff at Waratah Public School. Intensive English language programs for students who are newly arrived in Australia with a language and cultural background other than English and who have limited English language.
Programs for ESL students in mainstream settings including support within classrooms and direct instruction in ESL. This is supported is provided by specialists teachers at the school.
