In 2014, Waratah Public School celebrated 150 years of providing an excellent education to the children of the local area. The P&C organised a "Spring Fete" held on Saturday 18th October, to commemorate this wonderful achievement. Our belief in making this a community event, the P&C opened up the event to external market-stall holders as well as including our own traditional rides, stalls, raffles, entertainment, games and much more. What a fantastic day enjoyed by all!
The sesquicentenary celebrations kicked off with holding an official anniversary assembly on Friday 17th October that included the invitation of our oldest student and her family, followed by an afternoon tea with the opportunity of past and present students to view old school photos and memorabilia, catch up with long lost school friends and reminisce of times gone by. Past students were treated to tours of the school by present students which was a history lesson like no other!
