Taking care of the environment at Waratah Public School
'Green Thumbs' is a gardening initiative which teaches children appreciation for their natural environments. Students work alongside Mr Younger, who is a trained horticulturalist and the mastermind behind the gardens and environmental projects which can be found throughout our preschool and school grounds. Students are taught how to care for, maintain and respect the environment and are encouraged to take pride in their school gardens through environmentally friendly practices and participation in special projects.
